Gabriele Schönherr is scientific coordinator and head of the public relations team at Astrophysikalisches Institut Potsdam (AIP). Being a enthusiastic astrophysicist, she is part of the German coordination team with special responsibility for the region Berlin-Brandenburg.

Gabriele edits the German web pages of the IYA together with Rainer Arlt.
